What you will do

• Analyze and implement product or machinery designs for manufacturing processes.
• Direct the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned areas.
• Provide technical support for plant operations and interact with engineering staffs.
• Manage engineering projects and provide direction to support groups and vendors.
• Evaluate and monitor expenditures for processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve build quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Proficiency with Rockwell PLC (PLC 5, SLC 500, ControlLogix) and industrial drives.
• Experience with Ethernet, Device Net, RIO, and mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work all 3 shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice to have

• Master Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience managing salaried and UAW teams in a union environment.
• Troubleshooting expertise in Robotics Automation.
• Ability to read equipment drawings.
