What you will do

• Develop structural layouts, 3D models, framing plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and construction details across project phases.
• Support project engineers with calculations, specification reviews, code research, and evaluation of technical alternatives.
• Coordinate structural systems with other disciplines and existing field conditions using model review and clash detection tools.
• Conduct site visits and field surveys of existing structural conditions when required.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, and design status meetings.
• Review junior staff deliverables and provide technical guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

• Mid-to-senior-level experience in structural design, drafting, and engineering coordination in an architecture or engineering environment.
• Extensive experience with Revit and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Extensive experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam for model review and clash detection.
• Strong understanding of structural discipline requirements, building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, estimate labor hours, organize project tasks, and present effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to act as an area or system lead designer.

Nice to have

• Experience leading structural sub-teams or managing design packages for complex commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities.
• Experience managing cross-discipline coordination in fast-paced design environments.
