Location: Onsite at the GM Spring Hill Production Facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee, United States, on a full-time basis. Travel of less than 25% is required. The role may be eligible for relocation benefits. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, or J-1 support.

What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, including performance and professional development.
- Oversee APQP initiatives for new product launches and engineering changes from design through production.
- Drive PFMEA, control plan development, technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Manage the Problem Resolution and Tracking System to document, analyze, and resolve quality issues.
- Lead variation reduction initiatives using statistical analysis, SPC, and lean principles.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams while monitoring quality indicators and reporting trends to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of engineering experience, preferably in automotive or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of APQP principles and tools, PFMEA, and control plan development.
- Experience with technical problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective actions, variation reduction, and SPC.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Spring Hill, Tennessee, with no GM immigration sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or a related field.
- Master’s degree.
- Leadership or management experience with demonstrated people management.
- Experience using JIRA PRTS for issue management.
