TL;DR
Employment Consultant (Case Management): Supporting clients in Prince George with individualized employment plans, job matching, employer engagement, and sustainable job placement with an accent on coaching, barrier reduction, and coordinated community services. Focus on managing client cases, documenting progress in ICM, building employer partnerships, and providing job sustainment support.

Location: Prince George, British Columbia, Canada; work Monday to Friday in the centre and at different locations within the catchment area

Salary: Up to CAD 54,300 per year

What you will do

  • Conduct client needs assessments and develop, update, and revise individualized action plans.
  • Manage assigned client case files in ICM, including eligibility documentation, progress tracking, and outcome records.
  • Support clients facing complex barriers through coaching, motivation, referrals, and coordinated financial or community services.
  • Provide job search support through employer contacts, job matching, interviews, and employment-term negotiations.
  • Provide job sustainment support to clients and employers when on-the-job assistance is required.
  • Research local employers and sector opportunities and participate in community or employer events.

Requirements

  • Experience coaching clients, working with individuals facing complex barriers, and building partnerships with employers, community agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the local labour market, community resources, government programs, job search techniques, career development, and unemployment-related issues.
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience; employment services sector experience is required.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with ICM, provincial government tools, or online employment services.
  • Bilingual French and English communication skills are required.
  • Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, ability to work in the centre Monday to Friday, and willingness to submit to a criminal record check.
