Employment Consultant

Location: 301 Highway 33 W, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Travel between the Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Kelowna Centres is required.

Salary: $54,300 per year

What you will do

• Assess clients’ eligibility and readiness to work as part of individual action plans.
• Manage approximately 80–100 client cases in ICM, including eligibility documentation, progress records, referrals, and outcomes.
• Support clients through job placement, employment-specific training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Research employers and sector opportunities, maintain the Centre job board, and connect clients with suitable roles.
• Build relationships with employers, community agencies, internal partners, and other stakeholders.
• Attend job fairs and host community and employer events.

Requirements

• Post-secondary certificate, degree, or diploma in a relevant field.
• Required experience in case management.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex barriers and inclusion groups, and building employer and community partnerships.
• Knowledge of the local labour market, community resources, government assistance programs, job-search techniques, and career development tools.
• Strong digital literacy, including social media and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Adherence to confidentiality requirements and professional codes of conduct.

Nice to have

• Certified Career Development Practitioner designation.
• Experience with provincial government tools, ICM, and online employment services.
