Managing Consultant - Energy Supply Chain (IT Programs)

Location: US-TX-Houston-Office; willingness to travel 60–80% of the time.

What you will do

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and translate findings into strategic procurement and capital project recommendations.
• Conduct market research on supply and demand factors affecting client decisions.
• Support capital project bidding, pricing analysis, bidder negotiations, and contract implementation.
• Lead sourcing and vendor selection for client IT and digital programs, including RFP evaluation, pricing analysis, contract structuring, and statements of work.
• Coordinate with supply chain leaders, PMOs, project executives, engineering teams, and client IT stakeholders.
• Mentor junior consultants, perform quality assurance and quality control, manage project execution, and train clients on hirify.global software tools.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in engineering, science, supply chain, business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in consulting, supply chain, operations, or engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with client IT, PMO, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders.
• Demonstrated judgment, maturity, client focus, teamwork, and interest in developing consultants.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience in the power and renewables or oil and gas sectors.
• Exposure to ERP implementations, IT category sourcing, vendor management, GIS, customer information systems, or network modernization.
• Master’s degree.
