What you will do

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of engineers, scaling ownership as the product area grows.
• Own the end-to-end technical direction and architecture for AI agent systems.
• Manage delivery commitments across sprint and quarterly planning cycles.
• Partner with Product and Design to align on scope and execution using Agile practices.
• Stay hands-on in technical problem-solving while focusing on people management.
• Drive the adoption of AI-powered tools to accelerate engineering operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience with at least 2 years in direct people management.
• Must be based in the New York City office (Hybrid).
• Hands-on experience with LLM/agent systems, including RAG and orchestration frameworks.
• Proven track record of delivering in greenfield or early-stage product environments.
• Strong technical foundation in React, Go, Python, Java, Ruby, or C#.
• Experience in technical hiring, panel calibration, and closing candidates.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping a 0-to-1 AI or agent product (copilots, autonomous systems).
• Experience with cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency with AI-powered developer tools like Copilot or Cursor.
