Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Location: U.S.-based hybrid role in RTP, North Carolina, or San Jose, California; only candidates in these locations will be considered. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $147,900–$200,000 per year, depending on location, qualifications, experience, and education.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts and consolidate forecasts covering deferred services, professional services, OEM, and contra revenue.
• Analyze QTD actuals, historical trends, future trends, and variance against AOP and prior forecasts.
• Build Excel data models and scenario analyses using information from multiple systems and manual records.
• Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Accounting, Field Finance, Business Units, Manufacturing, and other finance teams on forecast assumptions and adjustments.
• Prepare Bookings, Billings, and Backlog data and executive dashboards.
• Present revenue and margin forecasts, actuals, and recommendations to cross-functional leadership, including the CEO and CFO.

Requirements

• Strong FP&A capabilities with the ability to move beyond reporting into analysis and action.
• Ability to model complex situations, analyze complex data sets, and develop tools and recommendations to resolve issues.
• Working knowledge of revenue recognition in a US GAAP technology company.
• Ability to work effectively with staff through vice president-level employees and external parties.
• Ability to operate independently, set priorities, and drive results with limited supervision.
• Undergraduate degree in Business or Accounting preferred, plus 12+ years of Accounting or Finance experience.
