Grind Machinist I (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, United States; 2nd shift

Salary: $22.00–$27.00 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift employees. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applications submitted between July 20, 2026, and November 30, 2026.

What you will do

• Set up and grind complex precision components after completing the training period.
• Work in a high-mix, low-volume production environment using blueprints, process instructions, and verbal instructions.
• Inspect completed work with micrometers, dial bore gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot CNC machining process issues and collaborate with team members to solve problems.
• Manufacture components for major military aircraft programs, including F-35, MQ-25, and FLRAA.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of machinist experience, or completion of a formal manufacturing, machining, or CNC certification/training program.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines.
• Proficiency with micrometers, dial bore gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.
• Participation in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required under Federal Aviation Administration Safety Sensitive Work regulations.
