CNC Machinist (Packaging Equipment)

Location: Forest, VA, USA

Salary: $21.50–$32.00 per hour

hirify.global develops packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and automation solutions. The position is based at Sentry Equipment, a hirify.global subsidiary specializing in conveyor equipment and container-handling machinery.

What you will do

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read blueprints and select appropriate measuring instruments, including micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
• Measure parts, maintain required tolerances, and make minor tool-wear and depth-offset adjustments.
• Source materials and purchased parts for projects and maintain production schedules.
• Perform routine machinery maintenance and assist with employee training.
• Follow machine guarding, forklift, hoist, housekeeping, shutdown, and Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven machinist experience, including blueprint reading, precision measurement, and machine setup.
• Ability to operate manual and CNC machinery.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is verified through E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Technical certification or machining apprenticeship.
• Experience with both manual and CNC machine operations.
