Process Technician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen events, problem-solving activities, and metric-driven performance optimization.
• Monitor key performance indicators (scrap, defects, downtime) and implement sustainable countermeasures.
• Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, process standards, and facility documentation.
• Evaluate and commission new manufacturing equipment and support R&D during product development.
• Coach and train operators on process controls, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
• Provide leadership and management support in the absence of the area manager.

Requirements

• High School degree or GED (Associate Degree in Mechatronics or Engineering Technology preferred).
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on process improvement and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis (A3/A1), and FMEA activities.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to stand and walk 4-6 hours on concrete and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb and descend stairs several times per day.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Experience in extrusion, wire, and cable manufacturing environments.
