What you will do

• Develop and improve machining processes for new and existing products.
• Provide hands-on production support to resolve machining, tooling, and process issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) including fixture design, tooling selection, and process validation.
• Optimize CNC programs, feeds, and speeds to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to investigate non-conformances and improve equipment uptime.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machining environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining (mills, lathes, multi-axis).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and ERP/MRP systems.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with special processes like heat treat, coating, or non-destructive testing.
