What you will do

• Lead complex underwriting initiatives from problem definition through launch and adoption.
• Partner with clients and underwriters to identify platform capabilities and shape the product roadmap.
• Translate carrier requirements, insurance workflows, and regulatory constraints into actionable product requirements.
• Use AI tools and agentic workflows for discovery, research, synthesis, roadmap communication, and stakeholder preparation.
• Identify improvement opportunities through workflow observation, analytics, client feedback, and competitive intelligence.
• Communicate product vision and outcomes across teams while coaching junior product managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of product management experience.
• Hands-on life insurance experience, ideally in or adjacent to underwriting.
• Familiarity with evidence and requirements, APS and lab data, carrier guidelines, and underwriting decision-making.
• Experience building products for expert users where accuracy and auditability are critical.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple projects and delivering measurable product impact.
• Daily practical use of AI tools, plus experience with user research, product analytics, BI solutions, stakeholder management, and decision-making under ambiguity.
