TL;DR

Product Manager (AI): Leading the Contract Understanding Platform to transform contracts into accurate, structured knowledge with an accent on extraction quality and AI agent reasoning. Focus on building scalable data schemas, managing the AI quality flywheel, and developing relational representations of contract clauses.

Location: Hybrid (San Francisco or New York City). Office attendance is required at least twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Salary: $188,000 – $235,000

What you will do

• Define the vision, roadmap, and OKRs for contract understanding and extraction accuracy.
• Develop APIs, schemas, and a developer experience that allows client teams to build on a consistent extraction service.
• Create front-end user experiences to enable data review and validation for quality improvement.
• Model complex relational representations of contracts, capturing clauses and negotiation history for AI agent reasoning.
• Build the AI quality flywheel, including datasets, evals, production metrics, and regression gates.
• Partner with engineering, applied science, and GTM teams to turn customer contract data into a durable advantage.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, including staff-level ownership of complex technical areas.
• Experience shipping production AI/ML, developer platforms, data infrastructure, or search products.
• Practical fluency with LLM systems, extraction, retrieval, APIs, and evaluation methods.
• Strong quantitative judgment to distinguish benchmark performance from real production quality.
• Enterprise-product judgment focusing on trust, scale, compliance, and workflow integration.
• Must be based in or be able to work from San Francisco or New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience with document AI, knowledge graphs, legal tech, or data-labeling systems.
