Software Engineer, New Grad

Location: Onsite at the San Mateo, California headquarters; H-1B sponsorship is available.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 base salary annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build backend wiring, application logic, and user interfaces for educational products.
• Design, code, test, debug, and tune features and new products.
• Use appropriate technologies across Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, AWS, and data-storage systems.
• Own projects throughout the fast-paced development cycle.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to create products for students and teachers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Excellent programming skills.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with a wide range of teams.
• Passion for improving education through technology.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Mateo headquarters.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Unix, Python, Java, SQL, or JavaScript.
