Software Engineer, Fullstack (AI)

What you will do

• Build and own large parts of the product across frontend experiences, backend services, data layers, and deployment.
• Make and revisit foundational architecture and implementation decisions.
• Build the serving layer for AI-driven learning experiences, including streaming responses, session and memory state, and background generation and verification jobs.
• Design graceful degradation for unreliable model behavior and establish testing, CI, monitoring, and observability standards.
• Ship production improvements alongside the founding team and contribute directly to product decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications end to end.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web framework experience, such as React or Next, with backend experience in Node or Python.
• Solid API design and SQL skills.
• Experience owning production systems, including deployment, monitoring, incident response, and performance.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs into products, including streaming interactions.
• Ability to make architecture decisions under uncertainty, explain the reasoning, and adapt based on evidence.

Nice to have

• Early-stage startup experience.
• Real-time or voice interaction experience with WebSockets, WebRTC, or audio pipelines.
• Data pipeline or event analytics experience.
• Consumer product sensibility and attention to interaction details.
