Senior Counsel, Global Labor & Employment (Legal): Providing strategic legal counsel across global employment, labor, employee benefits, litigation, and investigations with an accent on U.S. and international workforce compliance, risk management, and employee relations. Location: Overland Park, Kansas, USA; this role is office-based and eligible for hire in select U.S. locations.

Salary: USD 215,000–235,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day counsel on U.S. employment law, labor law, employee benefits, workplace policies, privacy, and workforce changes.
• Advise the Chief Legal Officer and senior leaders through executive briefings, risk assessments, regulatory updates, and workforce strategy recommendations.
• Support employment matters across the EU, UK, and APAC, including international employee onboarding and cross-border compliance.
• Manage employment litigation, investigations, disputes, labor relations matters, NLRB charges, grievances, and arbitrations with internal and external counsel.
• Advise on compensation, pay equity, ERISA plans, benefits administration, collective bargaining agreements, and plan-related litigation.
• Develop legal policies, management training, employee training, employment agreements, service agreements, and compliance guidance.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to a state bar.
• 10–12+ years of relevant law firm and/or corporate legal department experience.
• Global labor and employment law experience covering the APAC, EU, and UK regions.
• Required experience handling employment litigation; broader litigation, investigations, or dispute resolution experience is beneficial.
• Strong communication, presentation, writing, collaboration, pragmatic judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work from the United States in an office-based position.

Nice to have

• Prior in-house legal experience.
• Health privacy law expertise, including HIPAA, GDPR sensitive personal data, and health data transfers.
