Manager, Environmental and Sustainability Program Manager III

Location: Available in 12 locations; on-site work at fulfillment sites and travel of up to 50% required

What you will do

• Develop and align environmental standards, policies, programs, metrics, and implementation tools for fulfillment operations and construction teams.
• Manage compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and hirify.global policies.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, environmental performance analyses, sampling, incident investigations, and corrective-action planning.
• Evaluate permits, support regulatory agency interactions, and compile time-critical reports.
• Ensure contractors, consultants, and employees follow regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Build collaborative relationships across engineering, construction, operations, EHS, and other internal and external partner groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as an environmental technical resource, program specialist, or program manager.
• Experience with regulatory assessments, air permit evaluations and applications, NPDES and POTW requirements, and waste management.
• Broad knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and experience implementing environmental systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work at site level on inspections, audits, sampling, and operational guidance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in occupational health and safety.
• RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Certification or Certified Environmental Storm Water Compliance Professional certification.
• Project management, analytical, communication, influencing, negotiation, and coaching skills.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience leading change across multiple sites and influencing employees outside the direct reporting structure.
