Manager Program Management - IT

Location: On-site in Springfield, Missouri, United States. Remote work is not an option.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of project managers delivering IT projects, programs, and portfolios.
• Improve Program Management Office services, delivery practices, prioritization, estimation, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Implement and standardize Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, DevOps, and other delivery practices.
• Coach project managers in facilitation, mediation, relationship-building, team dynamics, and delivery methods.
• Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, stakeholder escalations, vendor coordination, and technical governance.
• Partner with IT and functional leaders to recover projects and adapt delivery to changing business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams in technical program management, plus 5+ years managing technical programs or projects.
• Experience delivering cross-functional technology initiatives through Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, networking, hardware, infrastructure, quality assurance, testing, and release management.
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, budgets, readiness activities, vendors, governance, and stakeholder escalations across concurrent workstreams.
• Strong communication, facilitation, mediation, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail, eCommerce, omnichannel, supply chain, infrastructure, data, enterprise technology, or the automotive aftermarket.
• Experience with SAFe, DevOps, ITIL, technology transformation, organizational change, or process improvement.
• PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
