Director of Engineering, Data Products (Healthcare)

Location: Remote - USA

Base salary: $223,100–$290,000 USD per year, plus equity and performance-based bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Own the technical roadmap for the Data Products platform, including clinical data ingestion, canonical data modeling, and ingestion scalability.
• Manage and optimize clinical data pipelines, data hygiene, canonical storage standards, observability, and monitoring.
• Scale customer data onboarding through standardized playbooks and improve data readiness across multiple customers.
• Enable shared funnel visibility and support a robust enterprise reporting framework.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted software development workflows for coding, testing, and deployment while maintaining code quality and security.
• Partner with the VP of Engineering and leaders in Product, Data Science, and Design to deliver the Data Products roadmap.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience focused on high-scale data platforms, distributed systems, and interoperability standards such as FHIR and CCDA.
• Experience managing and scaling engineering teams responsible for data-heavy workloads and complex clinical data pipelines.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in regulated environments and working with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.
• Experience implementing and scaling AI-assisted development workflows, automated testing, or AI-driven SDLC practices.
• Strong understanding of clinical data complexity, data integrity, engineering sustainability, organizational change, resource allocation, capacity planning, and technical debt.
• Must be based in the USA for this remote role.
