Sr. Product Development Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Richmond, VA, United States

Salary: $78,000–$107,250 annually, plus 15% incentive

What you will do

• Develop and revise insurance coverage forms, endorsements, and product documentation for new and existing commercial products.
• Research competitor forms, compare coverage, and analyze the impact of bureau form changes on existing products.
• Interpret applicable regulations and support accurate, timely product filings and responses to state insurance departments.
• Lead form project meetings and communicate form-management updates to product and business leadership.
• Create underwriting rules, support policy-system implementations, and provide underwriting assistance and training.
• Mentor associates and share expertise across Product & Regulatory Services and hirify.global.

Requirements

• US work authorization is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• At least 5 years of experience in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry, preferably in product development.
• Knowledge of commercial insurance products, manuals, and coverage forms, with the ability to design forms and endorsements.
• Ability to interpret state laws and regulations applicable to the insurance policy life cycle.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and detail-management skills; proficiency with Excel and Word.
