Location: Franklin, Wisconsin, United States; corporate office

Salary: $130,800–$196,200 annually. Geographic-specific ranges may apply in California, New York City, and other eligible locations.

What you will do

• Lead managers and professional underwriting teams evaluating risk and exposure to determine acceptable business.
• Set premium terms and conditions according to established rules, rates, and guidelines.
• Develop divisional business, production, operational, and organizational plans.
• Manage resources, policy formation, and relationships with internal departments and field stakeholders.
• Resolve underwriting concerns and coordinate initiatives across insurance operations.
• Drive performance metrics, workflow changes, transformation efforts, and systems improvements across Underwriting Production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressively responsible management experience involving decision-making, team building, communication, personnel development, analytical thinking, and project management.
• Prior people leadership experience, preferably 3–5 years.
• Ability to manage, develop, and motivate a diverse staff in a changing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Preferred experience as an underwriter or in another operational area.
