Database Administrator (Oracle, MS SQL Server)

Location: Onsite – Pentagon (Arlington, VA)

Salary: $104,000 – $118,000

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environments for current and legacy systems.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of database environments.
• Manage database access, permissions, and resolve technical database-related issues.
• Automate routine administrative tasks to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and system administration teams to ensure system reliability.
• Maintain accurate system documentation and support data cataloging initiatives.

Requirements

• Secret Clearance is required.
• Must hold a relevant certification: Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, or current equivalent.
• Experience with database scripting, job scheduling, and monitoring tools.
• Experience working in regulated, secure, or mission-critical environments.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of the Navy systems.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity, information-assurance, and data-governance requirements.
• Experience supporting web portals and user-account administration.
• Familiarity with metadata management and data-governance initiatives.
