DevOps Engineer III (Linux/Automation)

Location: Remote, with residence required within approximately 70 miles of office locations in Allen, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky; Charlotte, North Carolina; Overland Park, Kansas; Birmingham, Alabama; Cedar Falls, Iowa; Springfield, Missouri; or Monett, Missouri. Occasional onsite interviews or in-person onboarding may be required. Travel: 5%.

What you will do

• Develop automation for Linux provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Design and implement deployment automation and configuration management solutions.
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines and develop supporting scripts.
• Configure and maintain container orchestration platforms for deploying and scaling applications.
• Lead complex infrastructure initiatives and troubleshoot challenging production issues.
• Collaborate with development, operations, security, and infrastructure teams to improve DevOps standards and practices.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting software applications.
• Experience with C# development, SQL database administration, debugging, troubleshooting, and source control.
• Experience automating Linux patching and operating-system lifecycle management.
• Experience with Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls.
• Familiarity with artifact repositories, package management, REST APIs, and infrastructure integrations.
• Experience working in an Agile or DevOps engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Podman, or other container technologies.
• Experience supporting infrastructure in Azure, AWS, or other cloud environments.
• Experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies.
