What you will do

• Design, provision, and maintain ultra-low-latency AWS and hybrid network topologies, including VPCs, exchange gateways, and regional deployments.
• Optimize Linux kernels, memory management, CPU isolation, EC2 performance, and network I/O for latency-sensitive workloads.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operating system configuration with Terraform and Ansible.
• Scale infrastructure for exchange and traditional-finance market-making workflows and integrations.
• Build monitoring and telemetry pipelines with Grafana Cloud, Alloy, and related observability tools.
• Lead the technical roadmap, mentor junior engineers, and handle escalations during critical incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or SRE, including low-latency electronic trading environments.
• Advanced Linux internals knowledge, including kernel performance tuning, memory management, network profiling, and ring buffers.
• Production experience with AWS low-latency constructs such as Placement Groups, ENA/ENI, and high-performance EC2 optimization.
• Experience with FIX, Aeron, low-latency colocation connectivity, HFT workflows, or crypto exchange APIs.
• Strong Terraform and Ansible skills, plus deep knowledge of physical networking, TCP/IP, UDP, and low-latency routing.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring.

Nice to have

• Python or Bash scripting and development experience with Rust or Java.
• Experience with FPGAs, SmartNICs, custom network card drivers, or hardware acceleration.
• Knowledge of PTP, IEEE 1588, and clock synchronization for high-precision trade timestamping.
