DevOps Automation Engineer

Location: San Jose, United States. The role supports a 24x7 operations environment and requires flexibility for on-call or shift-based support, with working hours aligned to US regular business hours, 8:00 EST–4:30 EST (+/- 1 hour).

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable monitoring and automation solutions on AWS.
• Improve the DevOps platform and develop capabilities using emerging tools and technologies.
• Build and manage Kubernetes-based container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Administer Jira and Confluence, including workflows, permissions, dashboards, plugins, integrations, APIs, and webhooks.
• Define DevOps standards, enforce security policies, and implement DevSecOps practices.
• Lead technical discussions, solution design, delivery execution, stakeholder advising, and engineering mentorship.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of overall IT experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on Kubernetes and containerization experience.
• Strong AWS experience across services including Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Route53, ELB/NLB, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Auto Scaling, AWS CLI, and CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, Fluentd, Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Kibana.
• Strong scripting skills in Groovy, Python, Ruby, or Go, plus experience with infrastructure as code, Unix/Linux administration, AWS networking, and security.
• Experience building Docker containers across multiple technologies and working in Agile environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Terraform and Ansible experience.
• Advanced Kubernetes administration, including cluster upgrades, scaling, and best practices.
• Strong background in AWS networking and security architectures.
