What you will do

• Execute the layout of mid to high complexity multi-layer PCBs based on electrical design requirements.
• Setup design constraints for impedances and spacing within the layout tool.
• Route high-speed signals adhering to signal and power integrity best practices.
• Determine appropriate PCB layer counts and materials for various designs.
• Collaborate in schematic and layout design reviews.
• Manage the release of board packages via internal PLM systems and implement DFA/DFM changes from vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional PCB layout experience.
• Proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Design tools.
• Experience with high pin count BGAs and high-speed memory interfaces.
• Solid understanding of controlled impedance stackups and analog layout techniques.
• Working knowledge of IPC Standards and PCB fabrication/assembly processes.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of PCB layout experience.
• IPC CID or CID+ certification.
• Experience with Mentor Graphics PADS / DxDesigner.
• Expertise in routing high voltage and high current designs.
• Knowledge of ECAD Library development and Cadence SKILL scripting.
