Technical Staff Engineer - Signal Integrity

Annual base salary: $133,000–$183,000

What you will do

• Oversee signal and power integrity for complex device package designs.
• Collaborate with PCB, mixed-signal, product development, and package design teams to define and meet electrical requirements.
• Develop packaging solutions that satisfy signal integrity specifications.
• Support internal and external customers through signal integrity simulations of complex channels and power systems.
• Develop signal integrity models and model future systems for feasibility analysis.
• Review PCB and package designs and help evolve SI flows and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 12 or more years of experience in signal integrity design or an equivalent field.
• Experience with field solvers such as HFSS, CST MWS, and SIWave.
• Experience with circuit simulators such as ADS, Spectre, and HSPICE.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic and transmission-line theory, I/O design, signal integrity, and differential and single-ended interfaces.
• Knowledge of PCB layout or electrical package design, laboratory measurement equipment, IBIS, and IBIS-AMI; strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with MATLAB.
• Scripting experience with Perl, Python, or SKILL.
• Experience with the Cadence Design Environment.
