TL;DR
Mechanical Engineer (Defense Technology): Designing and developing rugged mechanical systems for autonomous Counter-UAS sensors, interceptors, and enclosures with an accent on CAD, materials selection, and manufacturability. Focus on integrating field-ready hardware with electronics, RF, and flight-test systems, while iterating designs from prototyping through production.
Location: Munich, Germany. EU work authorization required.

What you will do
- Design mechanical structures and enclosures for sensors, interceptors, and other hardware components.
- Develop and iterate CAD models and technical drawings for new and existing systems.
- Select materials and manufacturing processes for rugged, weather-resistant field hardware.
- Apply design-for-manufacturability and design-for-assembly principles with production and procurement.
- Support prototyping, testing, and design iterations based on flight-test and field-deployment feedback.
- Collaborate with electronics, RF, and flight-test engineers to integrate mechanical designs into complete systems.
Requirements
- Strong background in mechanical design and CAD, including tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Onshape.
- Experience designing rugged, field-deployable hardware for manufacturability and assembly.
- Understanding of material selection for outdoor and weatherproof applications.
- Ability to work across the full hardware lifecycle, from concept through production.
- EU work authorization required.
Nice to have
- Experience with drone, robotics, or aerospace mechanical design.
- Experience with environmental hardening, IP ratings, or MIL-STD-810.
- Background in defense or other high-reliability hardware industries.
