TL;DR
Data Platform & DevOps Engineer (Databricks): Supporting the administration, governance, and operational management of Databricks environments with an accent on platform stability, security, cost efficiency, and standardized automation. Focus on Unity Catalog governance, Terraform-based infrastructure automation, CI/CD deployments, cloud networking and security, and Python or Bash scripting.

What you will do
- Support administration and governance of Databricks DEV, TEST, and PROD environments.
- Manage users, roles, permissions, notebooks, jobs, clusters, and SQL Warehouses.
- Collaborate with cloud teams on identity provisioning, connectivity, storage access, and security.
- Maintain Unity Catalog governance, data ownership, access controls, compliance processes, and audit readiness.
- Support CI/CD deployments, Git-based workflows, standard templates, and lifecycle management across environments.
- Monitor platform usage, support cost tracking, and identify optimization opportunities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Data Platform Engineer.
- Experience with Databricks administration, including workspace management, access management, and cluster operations.
- Strong knowledge of Azure, or AWS/GCP networking and security, plus understanding of CI/CD and Git-based workflows.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Databricks CLI, Asset Bundles, REST API, Python, and Bash.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills, analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and a structured, collaborative working style.
Nice to have
- Experience with Unity Catalog, Databricks Account Console, and Workspace administration.
- Databricks certifications such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Databricks Platform Administrator.
- Cloud certifications such as Azure Data Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect.
