Cloud Engineer (Microsoft Azure)

Location: Hybrid, 50:50 remote and on-site in Brno, Czech Republic. Candidates must already live in the Czech Republic, be based near Brno, and be able to commute to the office regularly.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable Microsoft Azure solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Translate business requirements into efficient cloud architectures and act as a technical partner to business teams.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.
• Optimize cloud performance, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency across Azure environments.
• Apply security, compliance, governance, IAM, and Zero Trust standards while identifying and resolving operational issues.
• Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, maintain documentation, and reduce recurring incidents and bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer focused on Microsoft Azure, including PaaS and IaaS services.
• Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, including VNets, VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls, and DNS, as well as IAM and cloud security.
• Advanced English proficiency and the ability to work on-site in Brno regularly are required.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate certification.
