What you will do
- Design, build, and improve CI/CD pipelines for build, test, packaging, release, and deployment workflows.
- Develop and maintain GitHub Actions workflows, reusable actions, pipeline templates, and automation standards.
- Support branching, pull request, merge, tagging, versioning, and release strategies across engineering teams.
- Automate deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments with quality gates and approvals.
- Improve pipeline reliability, speed, observability, failure handling, and operational consistency.
- Integrate automated tests, security checks, artifact handling, secrets management, deployment permissions, and infrastructure automation into delivery workflows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, release engineering, platform engineering, or CI/CD automation.
- Production experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong practical experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions, including workflows, triggers, jobs, environments, approvals, secrets, and reusable automation.
- Good understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, versioning, tagging, and release management.
- Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with AWS, secure CI/CD practices, secrets management, least-privilege permissions, troubleshooting, and collaboration in distributed engineering environments.
Nice to have
- Experience standardizing CI/CD practices across multiple repositories or engineering teams.
- Knowledge of Terraform, OpenTofu, AWS CDK, serverless or event-driven SaaS platforms, and AWS-based delivery pipelines.
- Experience with automated testing, code quality and security scanning, dependency checks, artifact management, and protected GitHub environments.
- Experience with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, rollback, blue-green, canary, or progressive deployments.
- Experience with financial services platforms, regulated environments, audit-sensitive releases, or AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot.
