Project Manager (Fire & Life Safety)

Location: Remote project in Saudi Arabia; locations listed include Jeddah and Riyadh.

What you will do

• Manage complex Fire & Life Safety projects from design through handover, approvals, and occupancy certification.
• Coordinate with Civil Defense, local authorities, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Lead a team of 3–6 engineers, supervisors, and designers while managing schedules, delivery, and approvals.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, inspections, and audits of fire detection, alarm, suppression, emergency power, and smoke control systems.
• Prepare fire safety calculations, technically complex reports, fire strategy documents, and client presentations.
• Control project budgets and schedules, identify errors, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire & Life Safety Engineering.
• 15+ years of project experience covering design, execution, handover, and authority approvals.
• Experience managing technical teams and using AutoCAD, Revit, and fire protection design tools.
• Site experience with the installation, commissioning, and testing of fire protection, suppression, and fire alarm systems.
• Experience reviewing sprinkler, standpipe, hydrant, clean agent, smoke management, fire alarm, and voice evacuation designs.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Working toward Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience with NFPA, IFC, IBC, GCC fire code, ARAMCO, SABIC, HCIS, and GCC Civil Defense requirements.
