Design Project Manager (Data Centre Projects): Leading multidisciplinary design projects for mission-critical data centres across North America with an accent on project planning, engineering coordination, client management, and design quality. Location: Remote within Canada, with occasional travel to client offices, project sites, and team meetings across Canada and the United States.

What you will do
- Manage multiple data centre design projects from proposal through construction documentation and closeout.
- Coordinate electrical, mechanical, structural, and BIM/VDC teams throughout the design lifecycle.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, deliverables, and progress reports.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead kickoffs, design reviews, coordination meetings, and client presentations.
- Identify project risks, manage scope and change orders, and support business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; an Electrical Engineering degree is required in the qualifications section.
- 7+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary engineering or design projects, preferably for mission-critical facilities or data centres.
- Experience leading complex projects through all design and engineering phases in a consulting or EPC environment.
- Understanding of data centre infrastructure, including electrical power systems, mechanical cooling systems, and critical facility design principles.
- Knowledge of Canadian building codes and provincial regulations, with familiarity with U.S. industry standards.
- Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, communication, and client relationship management skills; ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Nice to have
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar scheduling tools.
- Familiarity with Revit, Revizto, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or comparable coordination platforms.
- PMP certification or eligibility, EIT or P.Eng. license, and certifications such as LEED AP.
