Software Engineer II - Global Football & Rugby (Backend)

Location: Must live within commuting distance of the office in Chiavari, Italy

Salary: €34,000 - €57,000 EUR

What you will do

• Design and ship APIs, GraphQL schemas, and the backend services that power them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, QA, product managers, and designers.
• Own backend-heavy features end-to-end, from data modeling to production deployment.
• Integrate AI tooling into the development process to improve team efficiency.
• Analyze and solve ambiguous technical problems within the data domain.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering experience in backend or data-heavy environments.
• Experience building APIs, service contracts, or data pipelines for other teams or products.
• Proven track record of shipping customer-facing products and managing release cycles.
• Proficiency with cloud-based systems, TDD, and CI/CD practices.
• Must be based in or be able to commute to the office in Chiavari, Italy.

Nice to have

• Professional experience with C#, GraphQL, Elastic, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Background in managing significant data scale and complex infrastructure.
• Experience building public or multi-consumer APIs.
• Experience working with hybrid or international teams.
