Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)

What you will do

• Design and implement backend services for an incident-automation platform, including telemetry processing, orchestration, workflow execution, integrations, and platform APIs.
• Evolve tightly coupled workflows and database-driven logic into a modular, event-driven, and scalable backend platform.
• Build reliable integrations with charger telemetry, ticketing systems, service workflows, and customer-facing product components.
• Improve idempotency, retries, state management, error handling, auditability, and observability across automated playbooks.
• Collaborate with product, service, R&D, and data engineering teams to turn operational playbooks into maintainable backend capabilities.
• Help define backend architecture, testing strategies, deployment patterns, engineering standards, and governed AI/agent-based capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant production backend engineering experience with strong proficiency in C#/.NET.
• Experience designing distributed backend services, cloud-based APIs, event-driven architectures, message queues, asynchronous processing, and workflow/state management.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and familiarity with time-series, event, or document data models.
• Experience with integrations, observability, logging, tracing, operational monitoring, Docker, CI/CD, AWS, and modern cloud deployment practices.
• Fluent English required. German and Italian are advantageous.

• Experience with workflow or orchestration engines, rules engines, or complex backend automation.
• Experience in IoT, industrial, fleet, or other operationally critical environments.
• German and/or Italian language skills.
