Application Engineer (Simulation & Test)

Location: Onsite in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with the role based at hirify.global B.V. in Nieuw-Vennep; travel to customer sites across Europe and beyond may reach 40% of working time.

What you will do

• Assess, configure, tune, and test mechanical hardware, control systems, and simulator applications in the factory and at customer sites.
• Customize hardware and software based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
• Lead factory and site acceptance testing and support in-house engineering work for new and upgrade projects.
• Act as the primary technical interface for customers, troubleshoot systems under time pressure, and provide advice and training.
• Take responsibility for project or program scope and support sales with quotations, scopes, and work breakdown structures.
• Identify customer needs, new technologies, and innovative solutions for future product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, such as mechatronics or measurement and controls.
• Knowledge of measurement and control, control systems, and cabinet hardware.
• Understanding of the interaction between mechanical design, electronics, and control software.
• Programming experience with C++ or MATLAB Simulink.
• Good spoken and written English is required.
• Customer-focused, results-driven, creative, inventive, and willing to travel frequently.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of flight simulators, driving simulators, or control cabinets.
• A second language.
