Lead Engineer (C++)

Location: Hybrid work in Amsterdam, with full relocation and visa support provided.

A technology-first hedge fund developing trading infrastructure, AI research pipelines, and experimental computing systems for financial markets.

What you will do

• Own the trading platform architecture end to end and make key technical decisions.
• Design and build core HFT infrastructure, including runtime systems for market data ingestion and order execution.
• Structure engineering ownership, delegate work across a team of 3–4 engineers, and remain hands-on with critical areas.
• Develop backtesting infrastructure for trading strategies.
• Optimize systems for low latency, high throughput, and reliability.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to connect models and research pipelines to live trading systems.

Requirements

• Deep production experience with C++.
• Professional background in high-frequency trading.
• Ability to design systems and architecture from scratch and own them technically.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization and system design.
• High autonomy and confidence in making independent technical decisions.
• Professional working English.
