What you will do
- Set and execute 1–3 year territory business plans focused on revenue, profitability, market share, and expansion.
- Lead sales operations across Southern China and deliver annual and multi-year commercial targets.
- Build, manage, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Establish relationships with academic institutions, distributors, government bodies, and other strategic stakeholders.
- Lead major negotiations, acquire new accounts, and strengthen existing customer relationships.
- Use sales analytics, KPIs, and Six Sigma improvement methods to increase operational effectiveness and protect profitability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of sales experience, including leadership in high-pressure, target-driven environments.
- Considerable knowledge of academic publishing and academic content business models.
- Extensive networks across academic communities, funders, distributors, and government agencies.
- Demonstrated success leading, motivating, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong analytical, strategic, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Native Mandarin and full professional English proficiency required; candidates must have the right to work in China and be able to travel domestically and internationally.
