Technical Business Analyst (Fintech)

TL;DR

Location: London, with on-site work required two days per week

Salary: £50,000–£65,000 per annum plus benefits

What you will do

• Deliver end-to-end client implementations with Project Managers in a Professional Services environment.
• Analyse client data sources and design robust data ingestion solutions.
• Gather, define, and document functional and non-functional requirements, scope, and acceptance criteria.
• Build and maintain data connectors, perform complex data analysis, and identify risks and optimisation opportunities.
• Apply advanced SQL for data transformation, validation, and testing.
• Work with Engineering and QA teams to investigate, resolve, and validate defects while improving implementation processes and tooling.

Requirements

• Experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role within financial services.
• Advanced SQL expertise.
• Strong understanding of database design, data architecture, and complex data models.
• Strong Excel skills and experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience working with international client stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of C# or .NET.
• Experience with financial reporting, revenue management, or rules-based systems.
• Experience testing complex data-driven platforms.
• Knowledge of BI tools, AI/ML solutions, or Azure and other cloud technologies.
