What you will do

• Evaluate, settle, or deny complex household and non-household goods claims using elevated decision-making authority.
• Investigate documentation, facts, liability, contracts, tariffs, policies, and federal regulatory requirements.
• Lead major-loss claims, prepare detailed reports, and provide regular status updates.
• Partner with Legal on specialty and escalated claims and communicate with customers, agents, government organizations, and internal departments.
• Review settlement authorization requests above standard limits and help manage temporary caseloads during operational transitions.
• Support claims training for new and experienced adjusters and contribute to department initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong analytical judgment and experience reviewing documentation, determining liability, and negotiating outcomes.
• Clear, confident communication and professional conflict management.
• Ability to adapt between claim areas, manage changing caseloads, and collaborate during high-volume periods.
• Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and employment authorization support are not available.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of experience in claims adjusting.
