Salary: $183,000–$230,000 USD base salary, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Embed with enterprise clients to map supply chain processes, audit legacy systems, and translate operational constraints into technical architectures.
• Design and build customer applications, internal tools, APIs, data pipelines, decision-support systems, and workflow automations integrated with ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms.
• Build and deploy production AI applications, agentic LLM workflows, and decision engines.
• Apply mathematical optimization to routing, mode selection, inventory positioning, container utilization, consolidation, and exception prioritization.
• Own 90-day deployment sprints from discovery and architecture through production launch, user adoption, and ROI measurement.
• Partner with Product and Platform Engineering teams to productize field-tested solutions and communicate technical and financial outcomes to executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building customer-facing or mission-critical applications.
• Production experience with Python, TypeScript, React, SQL, REST or GraphQL APIs, relational databases, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI/ML solutions, LLM orchestration, agentic workflows, machine learning models, or optimization solvers.
• Strong data modeling, ETL, API integration, and enterprise systems architecture skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous operational and economic constraints.
• Must be based in San Francisco, United States, and willing to travel up to 50% to customer and logistics sites.

Nice to have

• Experience in global supply chain, freight, customs, warehousing, inventory management, or trade financing.
• Operations Research background in linear programming, network optimization, route planning, or queueing theory.
• Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, or Founding Engineer.
