Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States; onsite at the customer's location five days per week. Occasional travel to customer locations within the United States is required.

Target salary range: $145,000–$250,000 per year.

What you will do

• Work directly with mission users to identify needs and integrate the LIGER GenAI platform into existing business processes.
• Build, prototype, deploy, and maintain customer-specific features and enhancements around the LIGER platform.
• Configure deployments and support customers for 60–180 days after sale before transitioning them to a long-term project team.
• Conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations and provide technical consulting throughout integration and deployment.
• Document customer requirements and feedback, troubleshoot deployment issues, and coordinate improvements with product, engineering, and support teams.
• Travel occasionally within the United States for customer engagements and support.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance; applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Advanced Python proficiency and extensive PostgreSQL experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, and related AI technologies applied to real-world problems.
• Experience with the MEAN stack, full-stack TypeScript development, and Angular web applications.
• Knowledge of Docker, GitLab CI/CD, cloud deployment models, APIs, software development lifecycles, and security principles.
• Experience working in AWS GovCloud, DoD, or federal environments, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Federal government sales engineering, customer partnership, or strategic stakeholder experience.
• DoD cybersecurity, vulnerability management, Kubernetes, and container orchestration experience.
• Experience with MCP Server, MCP tool development, Unix/Linux, and AWS GovCloud products.
• Experience providing leadership, issue resolution, and expert guidance to engineering teams.
