Data Scientist (AI)

Location: McLean, Virginia, USA; remote work is available, with possible occasional work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.

Salary: $69,400–$158,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Perform complex data exploration and analytics projects using mathematics and programming.
• Apply AI methodologies to security and government problems.
• Develop and implement variational inference procedures for novel models.
• Build and work with machine learning operations pipelines.
• Translate mathematical theory into practical machine learning solutions.
• Guide collaborative analytics work supporting critical missions from end to end.

Requirements

• Experience coding in Python and working with ML operations pipelines.
• Knowledge of probability, statistical inference, algorithms, linear algebra, and mathematics.
• Ability to implement inference procedures using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or NumPy.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph examination.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Eligibility to work on classified US government missions is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with computer vision, natural language processing, or learning on graphs.
• Experience with modern machine learning research, advanced architectures, foundation models, or representation learning.
• Experience with scientific or physics-based modeling.
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud systems.
