What you will do

• Lead statistical design and analysis for preclinical studies, including dose-response, mortality projection, aging biomarker, enrollment, attrition, and survival modeling.
• Build and apply population PK/PD models, nonlinear mixed-effects models, and exposure-response analyses to support dose justification and formulation decisions.
• Conduct exploratory analyses for endpoint development, target discovery, pathway discovery, and omics research.
• Serve as the statistical point of contact for preclinical studies and cross-functional R&D programs, partnering with scientists and program leads.
• Support clinical biostatistics through SAP development, regulatory strategy discussions, and analysis drafting.
• Create reproducible reports, mentor junior statisticians, peer-review statistical work, and improve methods and workflows.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Pharmacometrics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant statistical experience and a record of independently leading a preclinical or translational statistics portfolio.
• Hands-on population PK/PD experience with nonlinear mixed-effects models and exposure-response analysis.
• Experience with experimental design, survival analysis, longitudinal or mixed-effects modeling, and simulation-based power or sample-size methods.
• Fluency in R and/or Python, with experience using R Markdown, Quarto, or Jupyter for reproducible reporting.
• Strong scientific writing, communication, regulatory attention to detail, independent learning ability, and fluency in AI tools such as Claude Code.

Nice to have

• Veterinary, animal health, or translational aging research experience.
• Experience with data validation pipelines or regulatory-facing statistical writing for FDA, CVM, or EMA.
• Interest in growing into clinical trial biostatistics.
