Deployment Specialist (Microsoft Azure)

Location: Must be based in Canada (Remote or Hybrid in Toronto)

Salary: $49,000 - $89,700 CAD Annual

What you will do

• Build and configure shared and client-specific environments, including production and disaster recovery systems.
• Perform server installations, configurations, and OS upgrades using Windows Server and IIS.
• Execute SQL Server tasks, including T-SQL script deployment and database backup/restore.
• Administer Active Directory environments, including user/group creation and delegation.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and system reports to automate operational tasks.
• Coordinate the resolution of complex technical issues across the full three-tier stack.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of relevant infrastructure and systems administration experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with Windows Server 2012-2019 and IIS.
• Strong SQL Server management skills, including T-SQL and SSRS.
• Advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Must be located in Canada.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Octopus Deploy or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Experience with Azure Serverless, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Practical knowledge of .NET development (C# or VB.Net).
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
