Infrastructure Cloud Engineer (Azure)

Location: Hybrid in Monterrey or Queretaro, Mexico; the role also requires physical presence in the Chicago office and occasional support at other locations. Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CDT.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve core network incidents involving switching, routing, VLANs, trunking, wireless, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
• Design, implement, operate, and secure scalable infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC, PIM, hybrid identity, and identity governance initiatives.
• Deploy and monitor Microsoft Sentinel and integrate AI-powered security and monitoring tools for threat detection and response.
• Manage Windows Server environments, physical network hardware, infrastructure lifecycle activities, patching, provisioning, and configuration automation.
• Maintain Terraform infrastructure as code, documentation, runbooks, compliance activities, and production on-call support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in a team environment.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-native networking, including Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, NSGs, route tables, VNet peering, VPN Gateways, Azure Firewall, and equivalent AWS networking services.
• 3+ years administering Windows Server in a large enterprise, including patch management, Active Directory, and hybrid identity.
• At least 1 year of Cisco or Meraki experience, with hands-on knowledge of switching, routing, VLANs, firewall rules, segmentation, and physical network hardware.
• Strong experience with Azure PaaS, Entra ID, PowerShell, Terraform, Azure and AWS compute, storage, IAM, and security services.
• Comfort providing on-site support in the Chicago office and occasionally at other locations is required.

Nice to have

• Palo Alto experience.
• Microsoft Azure AZ-104 or AZ-500 certification.
• Python or Bash scripting experience.
• Experience with SIEM, endpoint protection, zero trust networking, and security zoning.
