What you will do

• Plan, write, and maintain operation and maintenance manuals, specifications, and compliance documentation for aerospace systems.
• Collaborate with aerospace engineers, software developers, and program managers to ensure content accuracy.
• Translate CAD models, BOMs, and test results into clear, user-friendly instructional materials.
• Produce technical illustrations and diagrams using Visio, Photoshop, and Illustrator to explain complex workflows.
• Manage documentation repositories and version control to ensure up-to-date availability for stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with AS9100, FAA, ITAR, and MIL-STD-38784 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of technical writing experience within the aerospace, manufacturing, or defense industry.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience with enterprise-level authoring tools like MadCap Flare and version control systems like Git.
• Proficiency in creating visuals using Composer, Visio, PowerPoint, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Experience conforming to established style guides.

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of UAS components, engineering drawings, and technical schematics.
• Familiarity with PLM systems or MES software (e.g., PICO MES).
• Experience with EASA regulations or specific defense specifications.
