Technical Writer (Defense): Writing and editing technical documentation, user manuals, and training literature for special operations requirements with an accent on functional industry knowledge and problem-solving. Location: Suffolk, Virginia, USA. Remote work is possible, though occasional in-person visits to Booz Allen or customer facilities may be required.

Salary: $55,200 – $126,000 (annualized USD)

What you will do

• Write and edit technical documentation, user manuals, and sales/training literature.
• Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Apply specific functional and industry knowledge to documentation.
• Work independently with some guidance.
• Review and guide the activities of more junior employees.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Experience with the Joint Training, Exercise, and Evaluation Program (JTEEP).
• Experience as a technical writer supporting special operations requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Master's degree.
