What you will do

• Create structured installation, operation, and maintenance manuals, user instructions, and online help using reuse strategies and modular design.
• Develop content for global delivery in 32+ languages following Simplified Technical English and localization best practices.
• Manage the end-to-end translation process with external vendors from scoping to delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams (Product Mgmt, R&D) to obtain and interpret technical information.
• Convert legacy unstructured FrameMaker documentation into structured topics and maps.
• Prepare and proof final production files for print and digital delivery.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Technical Communication, science, technology or related field with 3 years of experience, or 10+ years of experience in Technical Publication.
• Proficiency in DITA, XML, and Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Experience using translation management systems.
• Desktop publishing skills for creating and manipulating technical documentation.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Loveland, Colorado, USA.

Nice to have

• Ability to maintain and adapt XSL-FO files.
• Skill in creating illustrations for complex technical concepts.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Corel Designer, or Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble instruments to create maintenance info.
